2022/2023 Spring semester midterm exams due to conflicts or excuses in the midterm exams of the students to benefit from the right to make-up exams will be evaluated in accordance with YTU Acceptance of Excuses for Midterm Exams and Principles of Conducting Excuse Exams (DD-007);
1- Those who have an excuse within the principles of the regulation prepare the petition coded FR-0607 and submit the official document proving the excuse with the FR-0607-Excuse Exam Request Form,
2- Those who are in case of overlap, by preparing the petition with the code FR-0606 and adding the course / exam programme of both departments, with the FR-0606-Complaint Examination Request Form for Overlapping Courses,
They are required to send their applications to bioeng@yildiz.edu.tr until 03.05.2023 at 17:00.
When sending your petitions, write 'Name_Surname_Student Number_Petition name' in the file nomenclature. Specify the mail subject heading as 'Midterm Excuse Exam Petition-Student Name Surname'.
- The reports you have received during the academic year can only be used for excuse exam applications for midterm exams.
- There is no make-up exam for the final exams.
- There is no excuse for finals.
- The excuse exam is held in the last week of the courses for the semester exam. In excuse exams, the student is responsible for the entire content of the course.
- In case of two exams during the semester, the student can only request an excuse exam for one of them.
- In case of illness; the illness must be documented with a report of at least 3 (three) days (except private practices) and the report must be submitted to the Head of Department within 3 (three) days at the latest from the end of the report. (e-mail is not accepted).
- Excuse petitions of students who do not submit any documents regarding the conflicting course and / or report or excuse will not be accepted.
- The exams of the students who are found to have taken the exam on the reported dates will be cancelled. Excuses for cancelled exams will not be made.
- In case of a conflict in the exam calendar of the double major programme and the major programme; the student first takes the exam of the course(s) in the major programme. The student can take the exam of the course(s) in the double major programme by applying for an excuse exam with the "Petition for Excuse Exam".
ARTICLE 30 - (1) The excuse exam is made for the semester exam. If two exams are held during the semester, the student can take an excuse exam only for one of them. Whether a student can take an excuse exam for a course and how the excuse exams will be conducted are carried out according to the principles determined by the Senate. No make-up exam right is given for the final exam."
